Big Zeke's PowerKids
Grateful for Ongoing Community Support
The program participants of Big Zeke's Power Kids are celebrating another successful year and extend their thanks and gratitude to the citizens who make the program possible by their donations.
The program is a non-profit organization that provides anti-drug education and supports the Junior Olympic games. Each of the dozens of volunteers who staff the program is dedicated to "Giving Kids Strength to Say "NO!" to Drugs." According to Executive Director "Big Zeke" Wilson, "The kids are doing a great job encouraging each other and helping each other to remain drug-free. It is the only requirement for joining the program."
Beginning August 21, the PowerKids will have something new to celebrate In addition to the photo gallery, the dozens of volunteers at the PowerKids have designed a new way for kids to join. Now, they'll be able (with parental permission) to take the Power Kids pledge online, and send in their "Shout Out!" section comments, which will help them receive recognition for their efforts in their home communities and schools.
Supporters have also been excited to note that they can now donate online, through PayPal buttons interspersed throughout the redesigned site. Although the site is still in final stages of redesign, it is functional and will be completed by the August 21st goal.
The program is open to all boys and girls ages six through nineteen. The program is entirely supported through donations from private citizens and businesses.
The volunteers at Big Zeke's PowerKids invite you to drop by their site at www.BigZekesPowerKids.org.
