Greening the Screen launches Regional Green Guides

Following Film New Zealand’s recent successful re-launch of the Greening the Screen website, Film New Zealand now releases the highly practical Production Services and Resource Guides for the Auckland, Rotorua, Taranaki, Wellington, Canterbury and Dunedin regions.

Film New Zealand CEO, Judith McCann applauded the joint Queenstown Lakes District Council and Film Queenstown Zero Waste project developed in 2008 and felt that Film New Zealand could further support regional sustainability and environmental initiatives with the production of these Green Guides for key screen production areas in New Zealand.

“The guides are intended to provide helpful information on services and resources that can assist production companies reduce their environmental impact” she commented.

Film New Zealand engaged consultant Emma McConachy from sustainability consulting firm Green Fox, to work on the guides. Design company Station Creative donated the front cover artwork.

Greening the Screen not only gives you practical advice on how to reduce, reuse and recycle, it can now help you find where to do this as well,” said Film New Zealand Projects Coordinator Sandra Clark.
