Wanaka, New Zealand – September 2nd, 2009 – The Spring buds may be sprouting, but it is a full on winter wonderland up at Treble Cone. Over the past week Treble Cone has boosted its base depths by 25% with the help of a few storms depositing over 75 cm of and light and dry wintry snow. The base depths now sit at 260 cm on the Saddle, making it the deepest in the Southern Lakes.

“The recent storms have deposited snow perfectly at Treble Cone. Westerly flows combined with low freezing levels give us dry, light and deep snow, a rare quality for NZ resorts,” said Rosco Davies, TC Operations.

Tim Hudson and many of the long-term patrollers have agreed that the 2009 season has been one of the best in recent years. The back to back powder days that continue to hit Treble Cone this year have the locals reaping the benefits.

Now with Spring Pass prices sitting comfortably at $389, Treble Cone has opened their doors to everyone seeking great value at an alpine resort.

“Conditions couldn’t be better going into spring and we are stoked to offer our passes at such a reasonable rate. Our facilities are available to anyone seeking an affordable alpine experience, and with four weeks to go this is as good as it gets,” said TC Marketing, Antony Hansen.
