Emirates has a long-standing commitment to sport sponsorships. As well as having a presence at major football and cricket tournaments as an Official Partner of FIFA and the ICC, the airline is linked to some of the world’s leading tennis, horse racing, sailing and rugby events, spread across the six continents it flies non-stop to from Dubai.

Emirates’ ICC Official Partner status gives the airline sponsorship rights to all major ICC tournaments, including the 2011 and 2015 ICC Cricket World Cups, ICC Champions Trophy and ICC World Twenty20. In addition, the airline sponsors the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Umpires and Referees, and, as title sponsor of the Kings XI Punjab, it will also have a high profile at next year’s IPL.

Emirates is not only backing sport in South Africa this year. From the 1st of October, it will be flying daily into the key trade and tourism destination of Durban, giving it three gateways - including Johannesburg and Cape Town - into the host nation of the 2010 FIFA World Cup™.
