Poland, German Embassies Present Duo Artus on Tour
To celebrate the Polish-German friendship 20 years after the fall of the Berlin Wall, and the first democratic election in Poland, the Embassy of Poland and the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany are delighted to present Duo Artus on Tour. Chamber music duo Krzysztof Kackza (flute) and Perry Shack (guitar) will perform at the Iliot Theatre in Wellington Town Hall on October 22 at 7:30PM.

About the artists:
Perry Shack was born in Munich/Germany and studied at Hochschule fur Musik Augsburg, graduating with honors ("Summa cum Laude")in 2001. In the same year he was the first European to win a major prize at the World Guitar competition in Boston, USA. He performs frequently as a soloist and with the Chamber Orchestra in New York, Washington D.C., Sydney, Rome, Paris, Vienna, and Munich.
Krzystof Kackza was born in Torun/Poland and
graduated from Hochschule fur Musik und Theater in Munich
and completed his postgraduate studies at the Iniversity
Mozarteum Salzburg as well as the University for Music and
Performing Arts in Vienna. As an artist in residence at
Banff Center for the Arts in Canada he has performed with
Joel Smirnoff (Julliard String Quartet), Barry Schiffman
(St. Lawrence String Quartet), Pedja Muzijevic, Chen Halevi,
and Eliot Fisk.
