A “blooming” good day with Fullers at the SeaLink Jassy Dean Trust Garden Safari
Auckland , 19 October 2009 – Fullers Group Ltd is proud to support this year’s SeaLink Jassy Dean Trust Garden Safari on Waiheke Island , 7th and 8th November 2009. The Jassy Dean Trust supports sick Waiheke Island children and provides assistance to their families. All funds raised by the Garden Safari are used directly for the Trust's cause.
Waihekeans across the island will be opening their gardens to showcase flowering masterpieces and exquisite landscape designs. These gardens complement the beautifully natural environment of Waiheke, and the SeaLink Jassy Dean Trust Garden Safari is a unique opportunity to visit these pretty places.
In line with its support, Fullers will also be operating bus tours to ensure garden enthusiasts see the best of the Safari's best, and also enjoy a visit to Rangihoua Estate and Matiatia Estate for tastings, exhibitions and a Jassy Dean Trust plant sale.
Fullers will be operating two Bus Tours, one on Saturday 7th and the other on Sunday 8th November, both departing after the 10am ferry departure from Auckland has arrived at Matiatia, at approximately 10.40am.The tour commences with viewings at 443 Seaview Road for a permaculture demonstration at 11am, followed by a visit to a previous year’s winner, “The Kitchen Garden”, Woodside Bay, 694 Gordans Road, Rocky Bay.
At 12.15pm there will be a scheduled rest stop at Rangihoua where tour goers will be able to relax on the Estate’s lush lawns while savoring lunch, as well as the opportunity to stretch your legs, use the toilet facilities, view the Estate’s own garden exhibition, support the Jassy Dean Trust plant sale and enjoy premium olive oil tastings.
The afternoon tour includes “Wharetana”, 65 Vintage Lane , Te Whau; 64 Mako Street , Oneroa; and 209 Delemore Drive , Matiatia Estate. Furthermore, at Matiatia Estate there will be the opportunity to sample and purchase Obsidian wines and Olive 29 olive oils. There will also be delicious pizza and Hungarian breads on sale, and time to enjoy the popular Art Out There display and the Estates fabulous views, before returning to Matiatia in time for the 4pm departure to Auckland .
The Fullers Bus Tour package, only $35, includes the bus tour and access to the gardens. There is also an option to include a lunchbox to the package for an additional $15 (please specify at time of booking). The garden access ticket allows you to visit all 16 gardens on the Safari and is valid for both Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th November, so after the tour you are welcome to visit any of the other gardens that may take your interest.
