Lopdell House Gallery: Robin Kewell Film Night
7.30pm, Saturday 14 November
A Month of Living Dangerously
A filming trip to North Borneo (Sabah)
where mountains were climbed, rain forests explored,
politics exposed, durian and mangostines devoured, traitors,
t-shirts, pitcher plants, cockroaches, cartoons, cable cars
and orchid poaching... once again cameraman Robin Kewell
dips into his film archive to bring this talk alive.
Setting out from the UK to shoot a tourist
promotional film, things took a very different turn on
arrival... film clips, photos, drawings and extracts from
Robin's diary all add up for another evening of armchair
adventure.
