Sony offers young Kiwis the chance to follow the All Whites to 2010 FIFA World Cup
Auckland, 14 November, 2009: - The All Whites’ victory tonight will be even sweeter for one lucky New Zealander who will appear on-field at the World Cup Finals as Sony’s official 2010 FIFA World Cup Flag Bearer.
As an official FIFA partner, Sony will be sending one young soccer fan on the trip-of-a lifetime to follow the All Whites to the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. The selected Sony Flag Bearer will receive the ultimate prize including flights to South Africa, accommodation, sightseeing throughout their stay, brand new Sony products to use on their trip, and of course the coveted opportunity to carry the FIFA Flag on to the official World Cup pitch as the New Zealand representative.
This will be an amazing opportunity for the recipient who will get to witness the All Whites at the World Cup finals first hand – the first time they have attended the games since 1982.
“We are proud to be associated with FIFA especially at this exciting time in New Zealand soccer’s history. This season has already been a massive one for football in New Zealand and Sony New Zealand is looking forward to being there every step of the way at the FIFA World Cup, “says Peter Buckton Sony’s Marketing Services Manager.
Runners up will also have the chance to win thousands of dollars worth of Sony products.
The competition is open to all soccer fans from year 7 to 13 who are currently registered with a soccer club or school soccer team. Entrants must be passionate about soccer, outgoing and available to travel in July 2010.
