Tamarillo Gallery – down, but not out!
Tamarillo Gallery – down, but not out!
After a decade of being situated across from the Wellington City Council on Wakefield Street, the iconic Tamarillo Gallery is now down the road – in an exciting new gallery space on Lambton Quay.
You’ll find Tamarillo down the stairs at 326 Lambton Quay, between Bendon Lingerie and the Westpac Bank.
The new Tamarillo has three main exhibition spaces showcasing contemporary works by established and emerging New Zealand artists – including paintings, limited edition prints and sculpture.
Glass, ceramics, jewellery and greeting cards are available also, making Tamarillo an ideal place to shop for Christmas gifts with a difference.
The
first exhibition in the new gallery, featuring works by
Wellington artist Karl Andrews, opens this Friday 20
November and runs until 13 December. Titled “New
Beginnings”, Karl’s painting show familiar scenes in
fresh, new ways.
Opening hours: Monday to Friday
10.00am – 6.00pm; Saturday by appointment.
