Group Show at MIC opening tomorrow

Group Show 26 November - 18 December 2009

MIC Toi Rerehiko is pleased to present a group show featuring four recently graduated artists.

The exhibition encompasses video, projection, interactive and photographic media and provides insight into a contemporary practice emerging from some of Auckland’s leading art institutions. The four artists - Shahriar Asdollah-Zadeh, Azadeh Emadi, James Lowe and Kim Newall each address a common concern with resistance to the social, physical or technical constraints we encounter daily.

The show will open tomorrow, Thursday 26th November at 5.30pm at MIC Gallery.

MIC Toi Rerehiko regrets to announce that Chris Welsby's exhibition Time After- at MIC Gallery has been cancelled due to circumstances beyond the control of the gallery and the artist.

Following the opening at MIC, Shortfuse will be on at Galatos from 7.30pm. This month Shortfuse will be presented in association with Naomi Lamb and The Wanderer Productions.

“Dead or Live?” is a three-part programme of experimental live video and artifacts produced by Naomi Lamb and The Wanderer Productions that explores the repositioning of live video projects. More information is available on the MIC website.
