Sounday - 30 Jan 2010

HAGLEY PARK BUZZES THROUGHOUT SUMMER
But it only TRULY rocks for one day – SOUNDAY!

SATURDAY 30 JANUARY 2010
NORTH HAGLEY PARK, CHRISTCHURCH

For the last three years SOUNDAY has been a must do on the Christchurch summer calendar. SOUNDAY 2010 will see Saturday the 30th of January jam packed with some of New Zealand’s favourite artists and most exciting new talent.

SOUNDAY 2010 features treasures from the New Zealand song writing elite. The stunning musicality of The Phoenix Foundation, legendary lyricism of Don McGlashan and The Nameless Sons feat. Paul McLaney from Gramsci and Fly My Pretties fame.

Canterbury’s hottest new band – Electric Wire Hustle - will get you grooving with their blend of soul, psychedelic and hip hop which have been receiving rave reviews throughout Europe.

On the decks throughout the day will be New Zealand’s hip hop royalty PMoney, producer and RDU drive host Ghost and Wellington’s electronic maestro Module.

Also featured are Mairanne Dissard and Delaney Davidson, Sleepy Age and The Handsome Family who have been described by MOJO as “Dark, elemental, mischievous and mournful.”

To compliment this incredible music line up, Hagley Park will be bustling with delicious food stalls and a bar service. This can only be described as pure class on grass.
