The Fridge returns to Christchurch for record attempt and charity fundraiser'
The Fridge is a tiny nightclub constructed from an old Christchurch pub refrigerator room which was originally destined for landfill. It is the 'Worlds Smallest Nightclub'.
Created by the Christchurch-based 'Recycled Sound System' The Fridge is constructed entirely from recycled and reclaimed materials, with a 2.1m x 1.1m dancefloor, mirror ball and a DJ booth featuring resident DJ Bozurka and MC Jibba. The Fridge's current record capacity stands at 27 including one crowd surfer – set at Rhythm and Vines 09/10.
The Fridge
returns to Christchurch this weekend for three special
events:
1. Charity Fundraiser busking in the
streets for Multiple Sclerosis - Friday 29th Jan, 6pm,
outside The Bog Irish Bar, Christchurch. All ages. (Newly
confirmed).
2. We attempt to break the record for how many people we can fit in The Fridge - Friday 29th Jan, from 10:30pm, SOL Square, Christchurch (Tip Top Presents 'Fill The Fridge Friday')
3. Fridgeday - a big party with a late-night Drum and Bass band The Hustle - Saturday 30th Jan, from 10:30pm, SOL Square, Christchurch
