Roosters’ Kiwi and Kangaroo stars confirmed for Rotorua match

ROTORUA  03.02.10: Sydney Roosters have announced that all their Kiwi stars will be in their NRL team coming to Rotorua for the much anticipated match against Vodafone Warriors on February 13.

Kiwi utility back Sam Perrett, wing Shaun Kenny-Dowell and prop forward Paul Nuuausala  have all been confirmed in the Roosters touring party, as has Junior Kiwi Mose Masoe.

They will be joined by the team’s outstanding Australian internationals Anthony Minichiello and Mitchell Pearce, son of Australian legend Wayne ‘Junior’ Pearce.

Events & Venues general manager Peter McLeod said while Rotorua born Kiwi Test player Jared Warea-Hargreaves would not be on the playing field on February 13 he was still travelling to Rotorua.

He and Australian international player Jason Ryles would be participating in the NRL’s One Community programme promoting Rugby League in the district.

“Unfortunately Jared, who made his Kiwis test debut against Tonga here in his home town last October, dislocated his shoulder in training recently. While this will deprive him of the opportunity for a second Rotorua debut, this time with his new club the Sydney Roosters, we are delighted he is still travelling to Rotorua and he will be warmly welcomed back by home town fans.

The Sydney Roosters take on the Vodaphone Warriors at Rotorua International Stadium at 5pm on Saturday February 13, preceded at 3pm by a curtain raiser featuring the Vodafone Warriors Toyota Cup team up against a regional invitation side.
