Fiji Festival

Fiji Festival

NO ENTRY FEE - FREE FUN DAY FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY – ENTHUSIASTICALLY SUPPORTED BY FIJI CLUB OF NEW ZEALAND (FCNZ) – Bring Communities Together ©

After the super success of the annual Fiji Day, Radio Tarana is responding to public demand for another Fiji Festival where all can experience Fiji Culture, its cuisine and different types of entertainment.

Radio Tarana is importing the famous, controversial and original Bobby Darling from Fiji for this event. Bobby Darling created history in NZ last year with his first appearance internationally on stage and showed why he was the original. Unlike his copy clowns who hid their faces and use pre recorded conversations, the original Bobby Darling from Fiji performed live on stage. This year again, he will do the same and come with new acts and more laughter and enjoyment. Bobby darling will be joined by the another surprise character famous in the Radio scene in Fiji and this surprise will be revealed on the day itself.

On the local front, we will have various local artists and performers including Faag Competition, Log Geet, Qawali, Trikuttu performers, Bollywood and Fijian cultural dancers including Meke.

Our sponsors have promised special giveaways including Fiji travel packages, Fiji products and other items and services exclusive for this day.

There will be two stages this year ( indoor and outdoor)and the lay out will be different -inside and outside stage with provision for rain and weather changes. One of the stages will be used by sponsors to promote their services and products during breaks.
