V48TV launches on C4

May 3rd sees the launch of V48TV – a series of 10 half-hour episodes on C4 each showcasing three of the best short films from each genre in New Zealand’s largest film-making competition, V48HOURS.

The series will conclude on May 20th when the winner of the V48HOURS competition will be announced live on C4 during a V48TV one-hour special.

May 4th                 Best of the Genres – Romantic Comedy

May 5th                 Best of the Genres – Road Movie
May 6th                 Best of the Genres – Musical or Dance
May 7th                 Best of the Genres – Femme Fatale
May 10th               Best of the Genres – Sex-Education
May 11th               Best of the Genres – Sports Movie
May 12th               Best of the Genres – Twin Movie
May 13th               Best of the Genres – Biopic Movie
May 14th               Best of the Genres – Ghost Movie
May 17th               Finalists – Part 1 showcase of the City Winning shorts
May 18th               Finalists – Part 2 showcase of the City Winning shorts
May 19th               Finalists – Reveals Peter Jacksons wildcard selection
May 20th               Grand Final – One-hour Special that reveals the winners of more than $100,000 worth of prizes, building up to the reveal of the
winning short film of the 2010 V48HOURS Furious Filmmaking competition.

All episodes will air at 10:30pm except for the Grand Final episode which will air at 9:30pm.
