Wellingtonian set to take centre stage at Havana

Wellingtonian set to take centre stage at Havana Club International Cocktail Grand Prix in Cuba next week

Wellingtonian mixologist Claire Harlick took out the national final in her hometown of Wellington, and is now heading to Havana, Cuba, to compete for the top title, against 30 of the world's leading bartending talent.

A biannual event now in its eighth year, the Cocktail Grand Prix is a legendary global event in the cocktail world and Claire will be asked to prepare three unique cocktails for which she will judged on the appearance, aroma, taste, finish and balance plus her own personal skills, knowledge, innovation, communication and overall image.

The Havana Club International Cocktail Grand Prix will be held in Havana, Cuba, the home of Havana Club rum between 11th and 15th May 2010.
