A Unitec Festival Experience of Dance & Theatre
A Unitec Festival Experience of Dance &
Theatre
Vibrant, innovative, inspiring: a thrilling performance journey
Starting Wednesday, 16 June, Unitec New Zealand Mt Albert campus will be the site of an experimental performing arts experience like no other. The Market blends original dance and theatre works, with installations and the latest in sound, lighting and moving image technology. These exciting experimental works demonstrate the creative force of Unitec's talented Performing & Screen Arts students over ten stunning nights. The Market combines the Unitec dance school's annual Hybrid performance performed in and around the Dance Studios in Building 7 and the annual Short Cuts plays at the Unitec Theatre in Building 6 - 29 new plays written, directed and acted by Unitec students over ten nights.
The Market
Cafe
For the first four nights (16-19 June), The Market
experience is enhanced by a stunning performance cafe - the
hub and entry point - which promises to tempt your
intellect, as well as your taste buds. It will be an
interractive environment where you get a chance to "buy"
your experience. The Market cafe epitomises what The Market
is - a meeting place of minds, cultures and tastes.
