Social Media Becoming Practical in Wellington
Social Media Becoming Practical in Wellington
The solution to social networking needs for businesses has finally reached Wellington! Wellington entrepreneur and inter-generational relationships expert Eva-Maria has launched www.socialnetworkingnz.co.nz and is already attracting interested business owners! The purpose of the site is to become the place to be if you want to know more about Social Media or wish to find the right solution for your business. It is very clear that New Zealand knowledge and expertise has a lot of exporting potential and Social Media is the most cost-effective vehicle to make it happen for businesses of any size.
This project is supported by ASSIA & AX Advertising Ltd known for delivering profitable solutions for businesses and E-ideas Ltd the owners of NZ's largest B2B business database, whoiswhere.
There's no doubt about it: times are changing, and so are the tools we use. In both the social and business realms, Social Media and Social Networking has shown a great advantage to its users, and the opportunities from using it is growing by the day.
From attending seminars and workshops where business owners were told to start using Social Networking to bring on more business, Eva-Maria noticed many businesses wanted exposure in the Social Networks, but didn't know how to do this, and most of all, don't have time to keep them regularly updated.
Once again, using her skill of bridging the gap between adults and teens, she got a team of teenagers together to help businesses set up and update their social networks. Using young people's skills and knowledge of Social Networking, this is just another project Eva-Maria has initiated to help adults and teens use their differences to win-win outcomes!
Having taken up the position of social media expert, she plans to focus on mentoring and helping businesses set up their networks, and keep active on social networking sites.
Social media is the media for social interaction with a wider network of people from all over the world, so it's come as no surprise that it's also been modernized to reach potential clients and consumers. Over the last few years it's become appealing to all businesses, and every large credible brand is getting behind social networking to increase their brand exposure, build a reputation, and reach their customers.
"I've been using Facebook and Twitter for years, and although you won't find me having millions of followers on any one network alone, I've always had success in relationships and sales through connecting to the wider audience online. Over the years, people have approached me and asked to help explain social networking to them, and help connect with their audiences and customers online. How bizarre that every time I went to search for an expert in Wellington, almost nothing came back! It seems regular business people are finding it hard to use social networking to its full advantage, so this is the latest project I've taken on with a team of 5 other young people overseas - we just want to bridge the gap of misunderstanding between social networking and businesses, and help build a loyal following for businesses online."
The nineteen year old plans to help every day Wellington businesses grow their social media activity, with easily applied and effective strategies and promises no 'tech-talk', for the New Zealand person and business.
"America is producing fantastic resources to help people and businesses through Social Media, but there are some differences between being most productive and successful when you're marketing to America, and when you're doing business in New Zealand. Using Social Media successfully in New Zealand is a bit different to the 'proven techniques' people from overseas offer those starting out on the social networking front, so we wanted to produce something for New Zealand, made by people who have had success online through connecting and selling in New Zealand. Of course we had to take into account that New Zealand, apart from being a much smaller country, has a different buying and selling culture to overseas - but that's what's great - there's no resources like that out there yet! And this is what we'll be doing - helping New Zealand people and New Zealand businesses use Social Media to the full potential."
Eva-Maria belives this site will
become the hub of knowledge and interaction.
