Levi Sherwood Wins Silver Medal At X Games, LA
Levi Sherwood Wins Freestyle Silver Medal At X Games.
So exciting watching the Friday action from the X Games especially when Levi makes the Top 4 in the Freestyle final up against Travis Pastrana, Matt Ribaud and Nate Adams.
What a venue, the Colosseum in LAX, built for the Olympics in 1934 and used again for the 1972 Olympics.
Round 2 and Pastrana had a 1 point lead on Sherwood. Ribaud bailed on a flip he was not going to land and hurts his left leg. Adams second run was average and he was resigned to the fact he was only going to make bronze - 3rd. Sherwood’s third run score was a snub at only 39 so no real pressure on Pastrana. He came out and did a slow motion flip over the one metre high island and then without a sighter put up a double flip that he landed absolutely perfect. When he dismounted, he himself back-flipped off the back of the bike – what a showman.
Levi contested the Best Trick shown live this afternoon and came a very good 5th.
Cam Sinclair won it with a double-backflip – amazing coming off such a serious head injury in Spain last year.
