Mt Hutt blanketed in snow…
Mt Hutt today (9 August) was revelling in its biggest covering of the white stuff since opening this season. More than a metre of fresh snow brought the high country ski area’s snow base to 2.3 metres, delighting skiers and boarders.
Ski Area Manager Dave Wilson said: “It’s an incredible amount of snow, the ski area is just blanketed, and it all came within 36 hours.”
“After a morning of digging out the base building and chairlifts Mt Hutt is set up for awesome skiing and riding.”
