Miss Wanganui Organisation Spokesman
Jevan Goulter, Miss Wanganui Organisation Spokesman
In Recent days and this past week, the Miss Wanganui Organisation and Former Director Barbara Osborne have taken a pounding publicly and by the media.
We have made clear
that this incident was never about the color of Olivia
O'Neils hair, it was unacceptable behaviour, and that it was
never about image, it was about the attitude.
The Miss
Wanganui Organisation have made many invites to meet with
Olivia O'Neil and her father Vaughan Cockburn, however
unfortunately this has never been accepted. Also we continue
to make clear that Olivia O'Neil never had the crown
officially removed, taken or stripped from her. She simply
gave it back to the Miss Wanganui Organisation.
In the last hour the Miss Wanganui Organisation has listed the crown on trademe in an auction that will close at 7pm, next Thursday on the 19th of August.
The Rhinestone encrusted crown will be auctioned off to the public where everybody will have a chance to purchase this infamous, controversial crown.
The reason for these actions are not to humiliate Oliva or her family, nor are they for any particular reason other than the face that we have a crown that we will not use again in years to come, so instead of putting it to waste lets open it up to the public.
The Miss Wanganui Organisation also wishes Olivia O'Neil the very best in her future and hopes that she does well, at such a young age, she has so much that she can achieve, so good luck !
