V.I.Ps at Exhibition opening
The inaugural Art
Exhibition organised by the Rotorua Creative Art Trust in
conjunction with the Wearable Creations ‘n Colour shows,
opened yesterday during an exclusive VIP preview allowing
invited guests to view art from around the country.
In a manner befitting an exhibition opening in New York, Paris or London, over 150 guests were entertained by up and coming artist Aaron Faucett, sculptor Logan Shipgood, and treated to champagne and canapés, while perusing over 250 works of art from emerging and nationally renowned artists.
The public will now be given the opportunity to view and purchase the art, as the exhibition opens for the week leading up to the iconic Wearable Creations ‘n Colour Awards
Mijo Katavic, Creative Art Trustee said “People should come and enjoy the exhibition and allow their minds to be captivated by all that it has to offer.”
The Exhibition opens to the public on Monday 23rd August, and continues through Saturday, August 28th. The café at the Energy Events Centre will be open, allowing exhibition visitors to enjoy lunch while viewing daily displays by local artists which will add to the artistic experience. Admission to the Exhibition is free.
