Style Pasifika Just Days Away!
It’s only 5 days until the Westfield Style Pasifika New Zealand Fashion Awards 2010 – an entertainment extravaganza showcasing the finalists of New Zealand’s premiere fashion awards.
The event is a rich fusion of fashion, music, culture and dance, showcasing emerging talent from New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific Islands and accompanied by New Zealand’s top performers and musicians.
Performers this year include Annie Crummer, Black Grace, the Dawnraid family (including Brotha D, Aaradhna, Sweet & Irie, Monsta, Frisco and J’son), The Yandall Sisters and Manutuke Primary Kapa Haka from Gisborne. Mark Williams is back on the stage and you’ll see 13-year-old Keneti (KJ) Apa rocking out in his Kings School uniform with all-girl rock group LitVac Attack.
Judges will search for winners in ten categories; MAC Pasifika Body Art, Youthtown Traditionally Inspired, Resene Asia Pasifika, Max Three Piece Collection of Day Wear, NZAF-PPP Pasifika Hero, Flava Urban Street Wear, Barkers Pasifika Menswear, getfunkd Evening Wear, Pacific Blue Pasifika Bridal and Te Puni Kokiri Parent & Child.
Designers compete for the ultimate fashion accolade, the TVNZ Supreme Winner and present their show-stopping designs against a backdrop of performance by top New Zealand artists.
Westfield Style Pasifika is a truly unique night out that celebrates NZ’s place in the Pacific in spectacular style.
