Special Writer’s Room on local box-office hit
Special Writer’s Room on local box-office hit, Boy.
Join us next Tuesday for a Special
Writer’s Room discussion with the makers of Boy –
the film that this year smashed the record for highest
grossing local film at the New Zealand box office and
features some of the most superb acting by children seen in
a comedy.
Boy won the audience award in both
the Sydney and Melbourne festivals, and has just opened at
Australian cinemas in the Top 10.
MC Tearepa Kahi
(Writer/Director Taua, The Speaker) will talk to
writer/director Taika Waititi and producer Ainsley Gardiner about the making of a
comedic tragedy. Taika and Ainsley will also share some
deleted scenes from the movie.
Join us after the
discussion for pizza courtesy of Nga
Aho Whakaari.
