A special week for Sandwiches

A special week for Sandwiches

Kia Ora,

This is a bit of a special week for Sandwiches, so we thought we'd take a minute to tell you all about it.

We are very excited to be hosting, for the first time in New Zealand, Layo & Bushwacka from London. Yes, we know that we host great DJs from all over the country and the world every weekend and are always telling you how amazing they are... but this one has a bit of a personal touch.

Way back in 1995 Layo turned an old horse stable in Mayfair, Central London, into one of the most cutting edge clubs in the world. The End ran for an amazing 13 years and defined club culture as we know it. If you were lucky enough to have ventured onto the dance floor there you'll know what we are talking about.

One happy reveller who found himself on that dance floor more often than not during the mid 90's was Sandwiches own Bryce Mason. On his return to NZ Bryce had a vision of building a world class club right here in Wellington, and taking inspiration from The End, with the help of some friends he did just that, building Sandwiches with the 2 room concept in mind.

Fast forward to 2010, and it's a very proud moment for us to be hosting the famous founders and resident DJs of The End - the guys who in a way kinda started it all...

So we extend a special invitation to come and join us for a special night this Saturday so that we can show Layo & Bushwacka just how it's done in Wellington!

See you Saturday!
Team Sandwiches
