Nelson wineries set to wow Wellington at tasting event

Wellington wine and seafood lovers will be wowed at a tasting event showcasing a selection of Nelson’s finest wines and seafood on Thursday 28 October at the Boatshed.

Hosted by a group of Nelson’s leading wineries, collectively known as WineArt, this annual tasting will include new releases and 2010 vintage wines from 12 leading wineries: Brightwater Vineyard, Golden Hills Estate, Kahurangi Estate, Kaimira Wines, Neudorf Vineyards, Orinoco Vineyards, Richmond Plains Wines, Rimu Grove Winery, Seifried Estate, Te Mānia Wines, Waimea Estates and Woolaston Estates.

“This annual tasting of Nelson wines is always a fun evening. Wellingtonians love the opportunity to chat with winemakers from this boutique wine region. It’s a unique chance to get in first and taste the freshly released wines of 2010 – as well as some favourites from previous vintages,” said Wineart Event Manager, Gisela Purcell.

The tasting will be held on Thursday 28 October from 5.30pm to 7.30pm at the Boatshed. Admission to the event is $35.00 per person, which includes a free tasting glass and canapés.

Tickets to Wineart are available online through www.wineart.co.nz, alternatively you can call (04) 381 2200 or email dan@ideasshop.co.nz. For further information visit www.wineart.co.nz.
