Local dancer Ty King-Wall needs your votes now!

New Zealand born Ty King-Wall is one of six young ballet dancers vying for the coveted 2010 Telstra Ballet Dancer Award title and associated $20,000 cash prize, provided by Principal Sponsor Telstra.
Supporters are urged to vote for Ty in the People’s Choice Award which will be decided by public vote, with an additional cash prize of $5,000 awarded to the dancer who receives the highest number of public votes.
Born in Waihi, New Zealand, Ty started dancing at age seven and moved to Melbourne at age 16 after receiving a scholarship to study full-time at The Australian Ballet School.
After graduating dux with honours, Ty was accepted into The Australian Ballet in 2006. Since then he has rapidly risen through the ranks and is the youngest soloist to be promoted to senior artist, a role he will commence in 2011.
