Sallies Christmas CD a smash hit three years running
For the third year in a row The Salvation Army’s It’s a Wrap Christmas CD has reached the equivalent of platinum status, selling more than 15,000 CDs since its launch on November 22.
The Salvation Army produced 35,000 copies of the CD in partnership with Progressive Enterprises. Proceeds from the sales of It’s a Wrap 3 will go to The Salvation Army’s Christmas Appeal, helping New Zealanders in need during the holiday season.
It’s a Wrap 3 is available from Countdown, Foodtown and Woolworths supermarkets for a $5 donation. The 15-track CD includes many Christmas favourites arranged with a jazz, big band feel, and features the vocal talents of Tre-Belle and Gillian Moorman alongside blues legend Dave Murphy.
‘We are thrilled to have Progressive Enterprises partner with us for a third year,’ says Salvation Army Public Relations Secretary Major Robbie Ross. ‘Their ongoing support means we can help even more people this holiday season.
‘This year we have seen increased demand for our services yet again with our community centres providing more than 53,000 food parcels to families in need. We are so grateful to Progressive Enterprises and the New Zealand public for their support of It’s a Wrap 3 and we’re confident the CDs will sell out across the country.’
It’s a Wrap 3 is available from Countdown, Foodtown and Woolworths supermarkets across New Zealand until December 24.
