Eggner Trio Christchurch concert cancelled
EGGNER TRIO CHRISTCHURCH CONCERT CANCELLED
As a result of the February 22 earthquake, the Christchurch concert by Austrian ensemble the Eggner Trio, scheduled for Thursday 17 March at the James Hay Theatre, has unfortunately been cancelled.
The trio were scheduled to open Chamber Music New Zealand's 2011 Kaleidoscopes Concert Season with their Christchurch concert.
Chamber Music New Zealand chief executive Euan Murdoch says the organisation and the trio send their thoughts and best wishes to everyone affected by this tragic event.
“The trio have performed in Christchurch on two previous occasions and we are working with them to organise a fundraising concert for the quake appeal. This is likely to take place in Wellington on Thursday 17 March.”
Ticketholders who purchased tickets for the Christchurch concert through Ticketek, either online or over the phone, will receive an automatic refund back to the credit card used to make the original purchase. This will show within 10 working days. Patrons who have purchased their tickets over the counter should return their tickets by mail to Ticketek – Refunds, PO Box 6334, Wellington.
CMNZ is contacting all Christchurch subscribers regarding refunds for either the Eggner Trio or the whole season.
At this stage CMNZ plans to continue with the remaining six concerts scheduled for Christchurch this year.
