Lopdell House Art Gallery Events

White Night

6pm - late, Saturday 12 March

For one special night, why not venture out with friends and family and celebrate great culture and great fun in a great city. This is a unique opportunity to experience the magic of museums, galleries and public spaces at night. The inaugural Auckland White Night will transform the central city with a late-night celebration of arts and culture. Gather your friends and whanau, let the kids stay up late, and explore the treasures of Auckland Museum, Auckland Art Gallery, MOTAT, Central City Library, Voyager Maritime Museum, and a host of galleries exhibiting work from world class national and international artists.

For one special night only, public and private art galleries, arts precincts, museums and exhibition centres will keep their doors open late into the evening, hosting exhibitions, performances, music and other events that will spill out onto the city's night time streets, lanes and parks.

For those who don't want to trek into town, Lopdell House Gallery will also be open late with live music and street entertainers. Our exhibition Tickle My Senses is a great one for the whole family to enjoy and it's FREE.

Visit here for details and the full programme of White Night events in Auckland's museums and art galleries. Free buses will connect key locations across the city.

All gallery donations made on this night and throughout the duration of this exhibition will be gifted to the Christchurch Earthquake Appeal.
