Stars Help Kiwi Women Suit Up For Success
Dress for Success Inc is calling for Auckland residents to roll-on-up for the Cirque de Celebrite themed Celebrity Waiters Dinner fundraising event on Friday 13 May 2011 at the Pullman Hotel, Auckland.
A selection of stars including Barbara Kendall, Alison Leonard, Mary Lambie, Lee-Anne Wann, Miriama Smith, Ido Drent, Ben Barrington and Aaron Gilmore will be putting on the glitz and glamour for guests in the name of a good cause.
Proceeds from the event will go towards supporting women in economically difficult circumstances make the transition back into the workforce by providing them with professional attire and a network of support, in both Auckland and Christchurch.
Television personality and fitness specialist, Lee-Anne Wann will be trading in her day job for a celebrity waiters apron on the evening, and is encouraging others to come along and join in the fun.
"The Celebrity Waiter's Dinner is an amazing evening out that helps women who need an extra helping hand. What better way to assist someone in need than having a wonderful night out filled with entertainment, laughter and fun," says Wann.
"Helping people in need, sharing just a little of what we have so others might get ahead is a phenomenal way to feel good, do good and have a magic time all in one. And you never know, you might get to do a bit of 'down and give me 20 press-ups' yelling at the same time!"
Guests at the 2011 Celebrity Waiters Dinner will enjoy a one-of-a-kind circus event including fine dining, celebrity stunts, live entertainment, circus-inspired performances and special auctions.
Dress for Success Auckland has helped 10,000 women in Auckland achieve economic independence since it was established in New Zealand by Judi Hartley more than 10 years ago.
