2011 adidas Auckland Marathon entries set to open
Entries for this year’s adidas Auckland Marathon open Friday 8th April.
Managing Director, Stephen Brown, said, “We expect the strong interest from previous years to continue. The half marathon and full marathon have sold out for the last five years and in 2010 reached capacity is just 5 weeks.”
He said that “The level of interest has been unprecedented for a major running event in New Zealand and testament to the quality of the adidas Auckland Marathon event”.
The National
Heart Foundation is the official charity of the 2011 adidas
Auckland Marathon. All participants can become a Heart Racer
and raise funds for the National Heart Foundation when they
enter online creating their very own fundraising web
page.
Brown added, “The Heart Foundation is great cause to be associated with and we are proud to be supporting them”.
The event takes place on Sunday 30 October 2011.
