Early Bird Tickets and Collectors' Packages for Art Fair

14 April 2011

Early Bird Tickets and Collectors' Packages for Premier Art Event on Sale 1 May

Tickets for New Zealand's premier art event, the Auckland Art Fair 2011 from 4-7 August will go on sale at the beginning of May with a strictly limited number of Early Bird and VIP Collectors' Packages available.

The biennial fair, the first major event to be held in the new, purpose-built, harbourfront Viaduct Events Centre, brings together more than 40 of Australasia's leading galleries to show and sell over 1000 works by New Zealand and Australia's most sought after contemporary artists.

Galleries from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Gisborne, Dunedin, Wellington, Hamilton and Auckland will be participating in what will be a 'Big Day Out for Art Lovers' from
committed collectors to the merely curious.

Highlights of the programme include an exclusive preview for VIP ticket holders, the opening Vernissage gala, daily public forums, guided tours and interactive kids' programme as well as bars and cafes.
International guest speaker, Knight Landesman, the colourful and opinionated publisher of Artforum, deemed to be the art world's most influential magazine, will deliver the keynote lecture, presented by ANZ Private Bank, on 'the making of an artist' on August 5.
