adidas Auckland Half Marathon reaches capacity
2011 adidas Auckland Half Marathon reaches capacity in just two weeks.
This year’s adidas Auckland Marathon half marathon has sold out in less than 2 weeks.
Managing Director, Stephen Brown, said, “The field limit for the half marathon has reached capacity more than 6 months before race day. The level of interest once again has been unprecedented for a major running event in New Zealand and testament to the high quality of the adidas Auckland Marathon event.
“This year the total half and full marathon field size was increased to 10,500 participants and yet the half marathon event has sold out much earlier than last year.”
Brown added that “the full marathon is already over 70% full which also represents a considerably higher entry rate this year. We are delighted with this number of entrants in the marathon distance cementing it as easily New Zealand’s largest full marathon event.”
Entries are still available in the quarter marathon, 5km run and walk and KIDSMARATHON events that feature as part of the adidas Auckland Marathon.
The
event takes place on Sunday 30 October
2011.
