Meyer Eleventh in Kentucky
Joe Meyer and Snip were the
best performed of the Kiwis competing at the Rolex Kentucky
Three Day Event which finished in Lexington this
morning.
Meyer and his striking grey horse finished in 11th place, with Brit Mary King taking the quinella with her horses Kings Temptress and Fernhill Urco at the front of the field.
Newly crowned Badminton winner Mark Todd was not a good position after the cross country and says he opted to withdraw NZB Grass Valley before the showjumping when he felt the horse was off.
“I felt he would do more harm jumping even though he had passed the trot up,” he said.
