Fear of injuries from rocks, glass and a variety of modern day hazards inspired the development of the "minimalist" running shoe, whose essential features include a thin, flexible sole that is flat, lacking the padded, raised heel found in modern running footwear.
While a core of true Barefoot runners would never want to wear any footwear there is an ever increasing community of those wanting the benefits of barefooting with an element of protection, with this in mind, the minimal biodynamic footwear category has you covered.

Vibram® FiveFingers® New Zealand distributor, Barefoot Inc, is extending an invitation to our latest running event to learn about the technique and benefits of barefoot running:
o Saturday 14th May 10am to 12pm – Introduction to barefoot / minimal footwear running workshop. Venue: Orakei Domain, CNR Tamaki Dr & Watene Cres. $15
