The latest in Radio
One 91FM's DUNLOAD series comes by way of Dunedin music
royalty of the often overlooked kind. A founding member of
The Clean & The Chills before going on to form Snapper,
Peter Gutteridge has been there and done that (with
the scars and stories to prove it). More than 30 years
later, his pummelling krautrock keyboard drones have made
him a legend and inspiration to leering purveyors of
sneering, psych-infused rock n roll the world over. More
recently, Mr. Gutteridge has been channeling the more
dynamic and sensitive pianist within; witness his haunting
cover of Toy Love's Dont Catch Fire on the
Stroke compilation, a spirit that lives on in a
series of improvised piano and voice pieces recorded
recently, deep in the heart of the North East Valley.
Wrapped in layers of cardboard and gaffer tape, hand
delivered by a denim-clad courier, this is Peter
Gutteridge's latest musical message to the world. Let t he
enigma stir the beast within.

latest exclusive DUNLOAD - Peter Gutteridge /
Untitled No 2 - HERE.
Arctic
Monkeys - Suck It And See
Suck It and
See, Arctic Monkeys fourth album,
features 12 songs produced by James Ford at the legendary
Sound City Studios in Los Angeles. With Suck It and See the
band perfectly mesh their hard and soft sides. The album is
lyrically their most verbose since their record-breaking
debut Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not.
From shimmering opener She's Thunderstorms to the
brilliantly buoyant Black Treacle through to perfect
closer That's Where You're Wrong, Alex Turner brings
an articulate melodic swagger to the proceedings.
WIN Suck It And See on Breakfast at 8.15am all next week.
Depeche Mode - Remixes

Released as a limited-edition three-disc set, featuring a
bonus disc of rare remixes, and a "best of" single disc,
Remixes 81-04 features some of the most renowned
remixers of the world, including Underworld, Goldfrapp, Air,
Kruder+Dorfmeister, Timo Maas, Flood, Francois Kevorkian,

SEEDED
- Saturday 4th June - 10am / Lynette Harvey
Under the
name LynAdell, Lynette Harvey is known for unique and
singular knitwear patterns, a progression from her one off
designs that earned second place in what used to be the
Benson & Hedges Fashion Awards.
But that is only a tiny
part of the picture that is Lynette's artistic life. Having
knitted since high-chair days, as a small child she learned
to use her grandfather's tools to carve wood, and was taught
the inside of engines by her father.
Over the years, she
has carved stone, painted fabrics, and worked with wools and
yarns in a variety of forms, all the while prizing creative
expression over any form of what she considers to be the
soul-less nature of production.
In Seeded this week,
Lynette finds the musical exceptions to her working methods
of silent creation.
