Top Art Exhibition 2011

Top Art Exhibition 2011

Wintec welcomes the NCEA Secondary School's Top Art exhibition for 2011. The best art portfolio's created by secondary school students are shown annually at the Top Art exhibition, which travels around New Zealand.

Wintec will be holding the Hamilton part of the exhibition for two weeks this year, to coincide with the ANZAAE (Aotearoa New Zealand Association of Art Educators) Conference, and secondary school students and tutors are encouraged to attend during this time.

Media Arts Head of School Margi Moore says that this exhibition is a vital opportunity for both secondary school students and tutors alike to view the top NCEA work.

"The touring Top Art show is essential for teachers and students in understanding the expectations and quality of work that's produced across New Zealand for NCEA level 3 scholarships. By hosting the show at Wintec to coincide with the ANZAAE Conference, it will encourage a lot of healthy debate and learning. We welcome as many students and tutors to view the work as it is always beneficial to benchmark your performance against the top students".

Running from Tuesday 12 July through to Friday 22 July during the weekdays, Top Art will be held within W-block Gallery, at Wintec's City Campus.

Suitable dates and times to visit this exhibition can be booked through the School of Media Arts administration team.
