Writer's Room at the Film Cafe
Writer's Room at the Film Cafe
EVENT: TUESDAY 26 JULY 2011
This month's Writer's Room comes to you as part of the Film Cafe 2011! Join us at The Wintergarden at the earlier time of 7pm.
For ten years NZ expat filmmaker Sally Rowe (A Matter of Taste: Serving Up Paul Leibrandt) followed New York chef Paul Leibrandt in the cutthroat world of NY haute cuisine, from superstar breakthrough to unemployment and derision and back again.
Rowe talks to documentary maker Leanne Pooley (Untouchable Girls, Haunting Douglas) about having patience: waiting for the story to emerge and knowing when it was complete.
Don't miss the 'gastronomic thriller' A Matter of Taste: Serving Up Paul Leibrandt at this year's NZ International Film Festival. For screening times click here.
EARLY START: 6.30 Drinks, 7pm Start, Tuesday 26 July, The Wintergarden downstairs at The Civic, Queen Street, Auckland, $5 Koha appreciated
