Martin Bosley announced as Beervana Culinary Director

Beervana kicks off ‘Wellington on a Plate’ with 200+ beers from more than 80 breweries
Food from Wellington’s best restaurants

Beervana is pleased to announce that multi-award winning Wellington chef Martin Bosley has joined the 2011 event as Culinary Director.

“New Zealand’s craft brewing industry is a hidden treasure. Once you open your eyes to the incredible range of styles, flavours and techniques out there you’ll never think about beer the same way again. If you love food and wine, come to Beervana and you’ll quickly understand how complex, nuanced, and exciting beer is,” says Bosley.

“I have huge admiration for the brewers who are working hard to raise the standard New Zealanders expect from their beer. They’re innovative and passionate and I’m really honored to be able to work with them to create a great experience for food and beer lovers coming to Beervana,” he says.

Martin is working with a team of Wellington’s best restaurants to deliver stunning food to match the 200+ beers on show at Beervana at Westpac Stadium on 5 and 6 August. Featuring restaurants include Boulcott Street Bistro, Logan Brown, Martin Bosley’s, Monsoon Poon, Steve Morris at Westpac Stadium Function Centre, The General Practitioner and The Hop Garden.

“We’re thrilled to have Martin’s expertise in the Beervana team, and we’re sure Beervana visitors will be blown away by the food especially designed to match the huge range of beers we have on show,” says Festival Director David Cryer.

For the first time there will also be live brewing at every session with brewing legends Ron Trigg (mike’s Organic Brewery, Urenui), Andrew Dixon (The Mussel Inn, Golden Bay), Andy Deuchars (Renaissance, Blenheim) and Paul Croucher (Crouchers, Rotorua).
