10am Sundays on TV ONE
Male sex abuse is a subject society doesn’t want to talk about, but experts warn it could be the reason behind our high number of violent offenders. On Marae Investigates this week a victim of sexual abuse breaks a lifetime of silence to warn others to seek help before their lives are derailed.
Plus in the wake of Nia Glasie’s death we look at calls to monitor children from new born to 5 years old to protect them against child abuse. Abuse counsellor Daryl Gregory and Kaumatua Toby Curtis, who’s two relatives are serving time for Nia’s murder, join Jodi Ihaka & Scotty Morrison for the studio debate.
Plus we profile the Maori fashion house, D Monic Intent, set to take fashion week by storm and announce some of the finalists in this year’s Waiata Maori Music Awards.
