Registrations Open for NZ Fringe Festival
2012
The Creative Capital Arts Trust is super excited to announce that registrations are now open for those interested in producing a show as part of New Zealand Fringe Festival 2012.
The Fringe will run in Wellington for three weeks of Fringe mayhem, from February 10th until March 3rd 2012, and will include the return of the popular Fringe Awards.
The Fringe Festival is a completely open forum which provides opportunities for emerging artists and supports them with production workshops, mentoring and promotion through an umbrella festival programme and media. Fringe 2011 staged 51 productions by 600 performers to an audience of 14,000.
To kick off Fringe 2012, the Creative Capital Arts Trust and NZ Actors’ Guild are hosting the Fringe Forum, to be held at Bats Theatre on Monday October 10th at 6.30pm. The Forum provides those interested in taking part in Fringe with an opportunity to hear from a panel of Fringe organisers, venue managers, producers, directors and past Fringe participants. So if you are thinking of putting together a show for Fringe please come along – all welcome, koha entry. We welcome you to tweet us your questions for our panel to @NZ Fringe.
If you would like to register for Fringe 2012 please contact the Fringe office at welcome@fringe.co.nz for a link to our online registration form.
So…get your thinking caps on and help us make this Fringe the most innovative and crazy ever!!
