Titirangi to be transformed into
a music mecca for its seventh annual music festival
Once again the West Auckland suburb of
Titirangi will become a buzzing and thriving musical
destination for the Titirangi Festival of Music 2012.
The Festival kicks off on Thursday 29th March and runs for four days until Sunday 1st April 2012.
A truly unique offering of music and fun, The Titirangi Festival of Music blends emerging artists with high profile New Zealand bands. The weekend includes workshops, concerts, street performers, and other free events, transforming both outdoor and indoor local venues as never seen before.
The line-up will also impress, with The Nudge, a Wellington band playing a fresh form of innovative blues, kicking off the Festival. What follows will be a long weekend of music from classical to jazz, rock to reggae, from artists including Paddy Free, hip hop/soul sensation Iva Lamkum, Victoria Girling Butcher, The Trons, The Nukes, Clap Clap Riot, Luger Boa, BlackSandDiva, Paul Symons Band, and Fleur Jack & The Jandals.
“We’ve got some very exciting talent playing at the Festival next year, as we continue to support and bring the best local artists to the stage, as well as some international acts,” says David Parker Festival Director and Founder.
“The last Festival was a sell-out, and we look forward to the same for the 2012 Festival with the high level of entertainment on offer”.
Tickets will go on sale from February, and will be able from selected Titirangi businesses as well as online.
