Yeh, nah, yeh bro...Definitely yeh!

Attn: Arts/Dance Editor - For Immediate Release

Yeh, nah, yeh bro...Definitely yeh!

Nine of Wellington’s best professional freelance dancers unite to present Yes. No. Maybe? a compelling triple bill of new and exciting contemporary dance works to be performed at BATS Theatre for the 2012 Wellington FRINGE Festival.

Choreographed by Sarah Knox, Anna Flaherty and Alana Yee, each choreographer physically and emotionally explores the moments we face in life; of forgetting, regretting or conforming; which will define who we become?

Sarah Knox (ex Footnote Dance Co, about to undertake a Masters programme in Dance) delves into ideas of missed opportunities, words caught in the throat and walking away. How might we interact whilst hiding a confession?

Anna Flaherty is an emerging choreographer with a skilful eye for spatial and temporal design. Her beautiful new work uses stunning imagery to provide a thought-provoking glance into moments of our forgetting.

Fresh from a successful year as curator of Performance Art project S.A.M.P.L.E. Alana Yee presents an original piece of dance theatre with innovative, punchy and experimental choreography exploring womanhood and the various facets of female identity.

Yes. No. Maybe? is the culmination of the artistic experimentation that has been developed by the Wellington Freelance Dancers throughout 2011 and will showcase relationships between edgy contemporary dance, original choreography, music, text and visual arts.
