Sounds in the Sun Event Relocates to Vector
Arena
After four years of fine weather the Unitec presents Lipton Ice Tea Sounds in the Sun event tomorrow has been relocated to Vector Arena. The MetService issued a severe weather warning for all of the North Island, predicting gales which could be severe and damaging in some places meaning that the Unitec fields would not be safe enough to hold the event as planned.
The event is nearly sold out with its strongest line up to date. The festival had Shapeshifter headlining alongside Katchafire, 1814, Kidz in Space, Bulletproof featuring Annabel Fay and Rugged Tekniques, DJ Sir-Vere, Unknown Peace along with the world winning Prestige Dance Crew.
"The show must go on! We are excited about putting on a great show on at Vector Areana. The venue is one of the biggest and best in New Zealand." Says Events Manager Adam Basham.
Doors open at 3:30pm. First 5,200 wrist banded to go on the Arena GA floor and Lower bowl seating ; excess routed in the upper bowl seating. Any questions check out the Facebook page Facebook.com/studentsatunitec.
Thanks to our 2012 sponsors; Unitec, Lipton Ice Tea, The Edge, Juice TV, Speight's Summit, Mai FM, George FM, Snap Star Live, VnC Cocktails, Skinny, Rip It Up Magazine and Dash Tickets.
