The Cooper gals are back

Press Release

iD Dunedin’s Sister-Act

The Cooper gals are back!

Following on from last year’s successful runway show at iD Dunedin Fashion Week – Tamsin and Emily Cooper are once again combining to bring colour, high drama and a touch of Victorian exotica to Dunedin’s Railway Station shows.

In a city that is renowned for its reputation of wearing black on black, you can expect the collections from Tamsin Cooper and Emily Cooper of Silkbody to assault the senses in the most delightful way possible. It has been a big year for both girls since they showed last year. Emily is now Mum to little Mae and Tamsin has a new ‘baby’ of her own with a TV series called “Hearts in Crafts” about to be released by TVNZ.

So, what can you expect from Dunedin’s favourite sisters? Tamsin Cooper’s luxurious fashion accessories and exclusive coat label are made from high quality 100% silks and natural fabrics with intricate embroidery and beadwork all done by hand. Emily’s range of luxury silk clothing transcends the notion of basics and can be found in fashion, travel and adventure wardrobes globally. Silkbody will be showcasing exceptional fabrics and elegant lines in brilliant colours like sapphire, amethyst and ochre. Emily’s garments are the perfect foil for Tamsin’s fashion accessories and luxe velvet coats.

With the help of another of the exciting artists from The Creative Hub of Moray Place, the Dunedin Duo is also doing something this year that has never been done before at the iD show. It is surrounded by mystery - but you can guarantee one thing. It will be dramatic.

Both Tamsin Cooper’s Boutique and the Silkbody Studio Store will be open for viewing of their collections from 9am – 5pm on Friday for interested media at Moray Chambers, 30 Moray Place, Dunedin.
