Archbishop of Canterbury to stand down - last international duty to be in NZ
The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams – the man commonly thought of as the leader of the world’s 85 million Anglicans – is to step down at the end of this year.
Which means his visit to Aotearoa New Zealand in November will be his last international duty.
There’s a story about Dr William’s plans to resign, with tributes to him from the Archbishops of this church, at: http://www.anglicantaonga.org.nz/News/The-Communion/resign.
