The All New Coca-Cola Easter Show Opens Today

The All New Coca-Cola Easter Show Opens Today with a Full Lineup of Family Entertainment

Bugs, Tweety, Daffy and Sylvester are all here, along with the Canadian Bush Whackers, Dr the Rt. Hon. Lockwood Smith’s bulls and even the world’s best Kylie tribute act - at the All New Coca-Cola Easter Show which opens its new gates to the public at 10am this morning!

After 12 months of preparation by an army of organisers and volunteers, the All New Coca-Cola Easter Show is ready to receive the expected 70,000 visitors over the next five days – Thursday 5th April to Monday 9th April at Auckland’s ASB Showgrounds.

With FREE entry for all children aged 12 and under, (one adult must accompany up to three children), thousands will flock to see the huge line-up of attractions and entertainment from New Zealand and overseas, including free shows, thrilling rides and a huge exhibition of farm animals.

So what does it take to create this iconic event?

Transforming Auckland’s ASB Showgrounds into the All New Coca-Cola Easter Show:

Beginning Thursday April 5th at 10:00am, it has taken 210 days to set up 15 marquees, install 600 lights, lay 8 kilometres of cabling to power 3 stages, 25 rides and 500 additional power sockets.

Mark Frankham, CEO ASB Showgrounds says “It’s all hands on deck to set up New Zealand’s most historic event.”

“Bringing the country right into Auckland City is no small task” says Mark, “We have a brilliant team that work long hours to get this show up and running to be the spectacular event that all Aucklanders know and love!”

“People have been preparing their animals for months for this event making it the biggest A&P Show of its kind in New Zealand” says Mark.

60 hay bales will be consumed over the next few days, and 3 tonnes of animal waste will be cleaned up, 15 bags of wool will be gathered and 55 supreme champion ribbons will be awarded to the best-in-show animals.
