Sounds of Friendship: A celebration of 50 years of Korea-New Zealand diplomatic relations

Sounds of Friendship brings together two of Korea’s leading performing groups, GongMyoung, a Korean world music group, and Gorilla Crew, a dynamic Korean hip hop dance crew for a series of free concerts at prestigious venues throughout New Zealand.
2012 has been designated as the Korea-New Zealand Year of Friendship and the Korean Embassy in Wellington is pleased to host Sounds of Friendship, inviting GongMyoung and Gorilla Crew to entertain New Zealand audiences. Sounds of Friendship is part of a series of events being held in 2012 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and New Zealand.
Sounds of Friendship is the official public launch of 2012 celebrations for the Year of Friendship. Recognising the significance of Sounds of Friendship in Wellington, an official opening ceremony and VIP reception hosted by the Korean Ambassador, HE Mr Yongkyu Park, will also be held to celebrate the strong friendship and growing cultural exchange between Korea and New Zealand.
The Korean Embassy is supporting these events in Wellington, Christchurch and Auckland, which are free of charge. This is a special opportunity to enjoy a world-class performance and experience the Korean cultural wave.

Tickets are complimentary, but limited to due to venue capacity, so early request is necessary to secure a seat at this exciting and dynamic performance. Requests for tickets to Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch events should be by email, stating the number of tickets requested, name, and address for delivery. (Tickets for the Auckland event are by invitation only however a limited number of tickets are available for general public.)
