New Zealand School of Dance
Te Whaea: National Dance & Drama
Centre
11 Hutchison Road, Newtown, Wellington
One-hour studio performances of classical ballet and contemporary dance, performed by students of the New Zealand School of Dance.
Two different programmes will be presented, the performance on Wednesday highlighting solos by third year students. A number of short ballet and contemporary dance works, including excerpts from Don Quixote and La Bayadère, will be performed in the studio where the students train. See behind the scenes at our national dance school and get up close to this physically demanding and technically precise art form.
